Clinical Supervision
As an experienced Licensed Clinical Social Work, Council-Approved Clinical Supervisor (LCSW-S), I am honored to be able to provide clinical supervision for Licensed Master Social Workers (LMSW) who are earning their hours towards their clinical license.
My clinical experience as a therapist includes community-based mental health, inpatient and outpatient treatment at psychiatric hospitals, LGBQ+ and transgender clients, group experience, treatment of substance use disorders, providing crisis evaluations, conducting drug and alcohol evaluations. I am also experienced in working with incarcerated persons, providing case management services, and I have owned a private practice since 2017. I have also presented in workshops on a variety of topics for local, state and national organizations.
My rates are currently $60 per hour for Individual sessions and $50 per hour for group sessions, groups are provided in 2-hour sessions. The fees for Clinical Supervision services at a reasonable rates as I am aware that LMSW’s may not earn as much of a salary as LCSW’s, and I am dedicated to giving back to the community by making Clinical Supervision available and as affordable as possible to new clinicians.
The supervision groups are conducted Saturday mornings and Thursday evenings and are held on line via a confidential ZOOM connection.
Please contact me for meeting times and any additional questions via email at SGA SERVICES TEXAS, LLC or 832-285-3911 call or text.
“Supervision is a process that involves a supervisor overseeing the professional work of a supervisee with four major goals: (1) to promote supervisee growth and development; (2) to protect the welfare of the client; (3) to monitor supervisee performance and to serve as a gatekeeper for the profession; and (4) to empower the supervisee to self-supervise and carry out these goals as an independent professional.”
Corey, Corey & Corey (2018)
“Professional supervision is defined as the relationship between supervisor and supervisee in which the responsibility and accountability for the development of competence, demeanor, and ethical practice takes place. The supervisor is responsible for providing direction to the supervisee, who applies social work theory, standardized knowledge, skills, competency, and applicable ethical content in the practice setting. The supervisor and the supervisee both share responsibility for carrying out their role in the collaborative process.
